KaupiaBot
KaupiaBot reads public product information (titles, prices, stock, images) so AI agents can find what your store sells and send buyers to your own checkout. It never adds to carts, checks out, or signs in.
How to recognise it
Every request is signed with Web Bot Auth (HTTP Message Signatures, Ed25519), so you, your CDN or your platform can verify it really is Kaupia rather than trusting the User-Agent.
User-Agent Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; KaupiaBot/0.1; +https://kaupia.com/bot) Signature-Agent "https://kaupia.com" Key directory https://kaupia.com/.well-known/http-message-signatures-directory Key id Ve99gOCDPB_QUTKoocraseRUYFg48Jz-Dk3hvgJB60U robots.txt token KaupiaBot
What it reads, and how politely
- Your sitemap, product pages and product data your storefront already publishes (for example schema.org Product markup).
- It follows robots.txt, keeps to a low request rate per store, and backs off on
429andRetry-After. - It skips carts, checkout, account and search pages, and never submits forms.
- Product images are linked from your own CDN, not copied.
Opt out
Add this to your robots.txt and KaupiaBot stops reading your store within a day:
User-agent: KaupiaBot
Disallow: /
Or email [email protected] from your store’s domain and we remove it.
