Just outside of Milan in the Cologno Monzese region of Italy is a tiny 4-person factory assembling, checking, and testing the Klizia 97 stapler by hand. Ellepi was started by stationery designer Oscar Lepre in 1977, and out of his love for the ocean, the stapler’s iconic design resembles a whale. As these are hand made, each stapler is unique and any small imperfections are considered normal. Made in Italy.
