The Hasami Porcelain Sugar Pot in Natural is a small sugar pot, 3 3/8 inches across and just over two inches tall, made from a blend of crushed Amakusa stone and clay and fired unglazed, so the stone-and-clay body itself is the surface you see and hold. Hasami calls the body semi-porcelain, and it combines qualities of porcelain and earthenware. Temperature and humidity in the kiln change how the color and texture come out, so no two pieces are exactly alike.
