The Astep Model 2065 Pendant reads as one continuous elliptical form, its glow spread evenly across the whole shape rather than radiating from a single point. Two saucer-shaped opaline methacrylate diffusers are joined together, and their exact symmetry is what keeps the silhouette unbroken. Gino Sarfatti designed it in 1950, choosing methacrylate over the glass used at the time because it was lighter and far more resistant to damage.
